Mr. Clark

Waltham B. Clark, 86, died Friday morning July 2, 2010, at Clark County Regional Hospital.

He was born Aug. 17, 1923, in Floyd County to the late John D. and Rebecca Hall Clark.

He was a retired machinist at Rockwell International and a veteran of World War II where he received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

He was married to the former Maxine Selby and they resided in Winchester.

He was preceded in death by a foster son, Donald Underwood; and four brothers, Ishmael, Dempsey, Stallard and Kennard Clark.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Roger D. Clark of Winchester; two sisters, Rebecca Herbert of Fleming County and Alice Craycraft of Maysville; six grandchildren, Amy Whistle, Ronnie Clark, Tiffany Clark, Kimberly Clark, Donna Grayley and Bryan Underwood; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Services are 1 p.m., Monday, July 5, 2010, at the Boone - Nickell Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5 and the Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834. Visitation will be after 11 a.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis

Victoria "Vickie" Trent Davis, 72, of Ewing, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at her residence.

Vickie was born in Rowan County Feb. 5, 1938 to the late Phillip and Ethel Trent.

Vickie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Owen E. Davis, whom she married on June 6, 1956.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Jerry and Kathy Davis of Fleming County, Larry and Lisa Davis of Lewis County, Jimmy and Daryla Davis and Jarrod Keith and Hazel Davis, all of Fleming County.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Jerry O. Davis, Phillip Davis, Jackie Johnson, Jessica Davis, Justa Thomas, Candace Nickell, Chase Whisman, Joshua Davis, Cody Davis, Heather Arnett, Heath Gray and Caleb Davis. Seven great-grandchildren survive.

Also surviving are two brothers, Curtis Trent and Thurman Trent of Rowan County; three sisters, Faye Stover of Morehead, Jean Noe of Harlan County and Elenor McDaniel of Mich.

Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and other relations and dear friends.

Preceding her in death is one grandson, Jerrick Davis; and four brothers, Cebert, Emil, Emerson and Danny Trent.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Price Bros. Funeral Home in Elizaville with Rev. Todd Wiley officiating. Burial will be in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m.Tuesday at Price Bros. Funeral Home
