Mr. Miller

Bobby Wayne Miller, 64, of Mount Hope Road, Flemingsburg died Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Fleming County Hospital

Mr. Miller was born Oct. 6, 1945, in Fleming County, the son of the late Perry and Mona Moore Miller. He was a self-employed painter in the local area.

Mr. Miller is survived by two sisters, Marie (Tom) Roberts and Jo Ann Barker, both of Fleming County; two nieces, Lorrie Ann Henderson of Fleming County and Erika Nicole (Tom) Ackley of Georgetown, Ohio; two great-nephews, James Perry Henderson and Jeremy Thomas Ackley; and one great-niece, Alania Marie Henderson.

Services 11 a.m., Thursday, June 24, 2010, at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Grange City.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Berry

Elizabeth Ann Berry, 71, of Flemingsburg, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.

She was born in Mason County on Dec. 11, 1938, to the late Clifton and Pauline Overley Berry.

She was a member of the Maysville V.F.W. Post No. 2734 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, William Harvey (Tracey) Applegate of Carrollton; three daughters, Sissy (Mike) Garrison of Germantown, Tammy Sue (Troy) White of May's Lick, and Bonita (John) Dove of Prestonsburg; two sisters, Alma Maddox of Paris and Paulette Henderson of Mason County; one brother, J.C. Maddox of Tennessee; and five grandchildren, Eric Poe, Kaysha Garrison, Kaegan Dove, Bradyn Dove and Zoe Applegate.

She was preceded in death by her loving companion, Orville Muse; one son, Daryl Thomas Pollitt; and two sisters, Patricia Fox and Betty Hilton.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, Flemingsburg.

Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Berry

Elizabeth A. Berry, 71, of Flemingsburg died Tuesday at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Cooper

Ricky Allen "Coop" Cooper, 50, of Hillsboro and formerly of Sardis, died June 12, 2010, at his residence.

He was born June 22, 1959, to Taft and Louise Cooper Riickerts of Sardis.

He graduated from Mason County High School in 1977. He farmed and worked at Pepsi Cola in Lousiville, Forge and Gear and Browning's Manufacturing in Maysville for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sexton Cooper; a daughter, Jessica Harvey of Lewisburg; a son, Steve of Mount Carmel; four sisters, Sue Cooper, Dorothy Cooper, Peggy (Tony) Frame, all of Mason County and Helen (Royce) Insko of Lewis County; two brothers, Jerry (Cheryl) Cooper of South Carolina, and Jake (Janie) Cooper of Mason County; a stepson, Austin Williams, at home; grandchildren, Katelynn and Sean Harvey; a brother-in-law, Gary Sweet of Mason County; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Cooper of Robertson County, Judy (Chris) Muse of Fleming County, Connie Sexton of Hamilton, Ohio, and Bonnie (Robb) Sexton Jensen of Woodbridge, Va.; a very special adopted daughter, Hazel Bode of Fleming County; a very special adopted granddaughter, Ashlee Bode, at home; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Marietta Sweet; a brother, Jimmy Cooper; a sister-in-law, Jenny Cooper; and a nephew, Jason Cooper.

The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 8 p.m., at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.

Visitation will be after 6- 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peoples Bank of Fleming County in the name of Ricky A. Cooper.

Mrs. Williams

Virginia Elkins Williams, 95, of Flemingsburg died Monday, June 14, 2010.

She was born June 11, 1915, in Campton to the late Vernia Hanks Elkins and Van Buren Elkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Williams.

Mrs. Williams was a homemaker; attended business school in Louisville; traveled with her husband, Nelson, while he worked for the state highway department; was active in the Flemingsburg Homemakers and garden club and had a passion for flower gardens. She was a skilled seamstress, made all her own clothing and had a sweet personality and a great smile. She will be sadly missed by many.

She is survived by her nephew, Michael Well of Illinois and her caregiver, Marsha Jones of Mason County.

She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Juanita Elkins and Jeanette Elkins.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at the Elizaville Christian Church with Rich Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation is 1 p.m. until time for the service, Thursday at the church.

Mr. Caudill

Bill Caudill, 78, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.

Born September 16, 1931, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Samuel James (Jim) and Gracie Brown Caudill. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Harlan James Caudill, and two sisters, Abigail Caudill and Ollie Ethel Caudill.

Bill is survived by four sisters, Lacy Caudill of Morehead, Kentucky, Peggy Bruner and Zelda Wright, both of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Martha Lowe of Morehead, Kentucky.

Bill was a very active participant in the Special Olympics.

Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Starcher officiating. Burial will follow in Caudill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Bruner, Gene Lowe, Danny Caudill, Ronnie Caudill, Greg Barnes, D. J. Caudill, and Eric Caudill.

Visitation will be from noon until 3 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Mr. Denton

Ronald Glenn Denton, 71, of Fleming County died Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the Fleming County Hospital.

He was born Nov. 30, 1938, in Fleming County to the late Glenn Denton and Wilma V. Maxey Denton Rhoton.

He was a heavy equipment operator with Kentucky Department of Transportation.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Vise Denton.

He is survived by a daughter, Lenne (Colby) McCloud of Fleming County; a grandchild, Jordan McCloud of Fleming County; and an aunt, Judy Eldridge of Ringo Mills.

Services are 11 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2010, at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home in Flemingsburg. Bro. Harley Sexton Jr. will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation after 6 p.m., today, June 10, 2010, at the funeral home.
