Services for Lowell Denton

Visitation for Lowell Denton will be Monday, Oct. 20, after 6 p.m. at Denton-Workman Funeral home in Flemingsburg. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Karl Rose

Karl Arlie Rose, 55, of Flemingsburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
He was born June 8, 1953, to the late William Fred Rose and Mildred Rose.
He is survived by his wife, Regina Rose of Flemingsburg.
Mr. Rose was the owner of Rose Farm Supply in Flemingsburg.
Services are 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at the Kentucky Christian Church of Flemingsburg. Pastor, George Sloan and Pastor Jack Hinton will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6 p.m., today and one hour prior to services Saturday at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.

Cooper is Citizen of the Year

Cooper is Citizen of the Year

Beverly Cooper of the Fleming County Public Library was named Fleming County's "Citizen of the Year" during the annual Chamber of Commerce awards banquet.

Business of the Year was the Fleming County Hospital, and Agriculture Leader of the Year was dairy farmer Craig Smith. The new "Green Award" went to the Fleming County High School FCCLA group, and the Event of the Year was Swing on Main.

The Cancer Care Club was named Community Service of the Year, and the New Business of the Year is Sapp Electronics/Radio Shack.

Ronald Jolly

Ronald Royce Jolly, 69, of Flemingsburg, formerly of Ewing, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 11, 2008 at the Fleming County Hospital.
Ronald was born in Fleming County, Feb. 25, 1939, to Harrison and Ivetta Earlywine Jolly.
He was a retired farmer and wrecker driver.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Dickson Jolly; two daughters, Nancy (Johnson) Barnett and Darlene Harding (Jerry Mitchell ) both of Ewing; and one son, Mike Dickson of Florida.
Services are 2 p.m., Wednesday at Price Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Pennington and Rev. Garry McQuinn officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 6-9 p.m.
