Clifton Ray Daulton, Sr. departed this life on May 21, 2009 in the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas after an illness of several weeks.
He was born on November 8, 1940 in Ringos Mill, Kentucky to Mrs. Elsie Ratliff Daulton of Flemingsburg and the late Elbert Clifton Daulton.
He was married on July 27, 1968 to Anna Lee Applegate in Mason County, Kentucky. He retired in 1994 from a life on the road as a truck driver for the Kroger Company. In his younger years, Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting pool. In his later years, Ray loved taking trips with his grandchildren and watching his favorite sport, NASCAR with his sons and grandson.
Those left to treasure his many memories are his wife of 40 years, Anna Lee, son and daughter-in-law, Ray Jr. and Deana; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Gretchen; his only grandson, Justin and his three granddaughters, Laura, Kaitlyn and Erin. He is also survived by his mother Elsie Ratliff Daulton of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and his two sisters, Janie McClain of Hillsboro, Kentucky and Marietta Daulton of Ohio.
Ray had a big heart and loved to help people. He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed. The world is a better place for having him here for 68 years.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 28, 2009 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr. officiating.
He will be laid to rest with full military honors in the Hillsboro Cemetery by the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
Visitation at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is after 11:00 A.M. Thursday.
Serving as Pall Bearers will be members of the Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.
Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home is caring for all arrangements for Mr. Clifton Ray Daulton.
