Charles L. Hamilton, age 75, of Tollesboro passed away Wednesday at UK Medical Center in Lexington.
Mr. Hamilton was a retired route supervisor with Husman Potato Chips of Lexington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea and a member of the Galilee Christian Church in Tollesboro. He was a member of the Oakley Lodge No. 668, F&AM, Cincinnati; Louisville Scottish Rite and Kosair Shrine Temple, Louisville; a life member of VFW Post No. 1834; served as chaplain of American Legion Post No. 5; and served on the honor guard for military funeral.
He was born at Mount Carmel on Jan. 1, 1934. His parents were the late Duard and Elizabeth Owens Hamilton. He was reared by his grandparents, Henry W. and Minnie Hamilton.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Ginn Hamilton; five children, Chuck Hamilton of Fleming County, Sydonna Sue Wilson of Louisville, Elizabeth Jane Radmacher of Louisville, David Hamilton of Louisville, and Douglas Hamilton of Louisville; two stepchildren, Mike (Jennifer) Ginn of Fleming County, and Margaret (Joe) Weber of Maysville; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services are 2 p.m., Sunday at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Shellabarger and Rev. James Rawlings officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery with military rites performed by American Legion Post No. 5 and VFW Post No. 1834.
Visitation is at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home from noon till time of services Sunday.
