Mary Margaret Dugan, 71, of Flemingsburg died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009.
She was a retired sole layer at U.S. Shoe.
Mrs. Dugan was born March 21, 1938, in May's Lick, the daughter of the late John and Julie McFarland Carpenter.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Dugan of Flemingsburg; a son, Charles (Sandra) Dugan Jr. of Frankfort; a daughter, Kim (Jay) Planck of Flemingsburg; six grandchildren, Natalie Dugan, Laura Beth Rushmeyer, Mathew Planck, Kaylee Dugan, John Travis Planck and Charles Dugan III; three step-grandchildren Kerry Cress, Ashley Wiley and Sean Wiley; a great-grandchild, Tyler Shortridge; two brothers, John Carpenter Jr. of Flemingsburg, and Bobby Carpenter of Maysville; and a sister, Barbara Conrad of Indianapolis, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Rena Swissholm.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Denton-Workman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
