MOUNT OLIVET -- Rebecca "Becky" Gifford Adamson, 92, of Mount Olivet died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Robertson County, April 28, 1917, to the late Claude and Madie Cooper Gifford, she was a 24-year retired employee of Clyde's Super Value and a member of the Mount Olivet Baptist Church.
Mrs. Adamson was a talented seamstress and loved quilting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Ray Adamson; four brothers, Julian Gifford, Lovell Gifford, Clayton Gifford and Lemuel Gifford; and five sisters, Elva A. Reed, Mary K. Myers, Imogene Myers, Ann Watson and Audrey Kreutz.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Ray Adamson and Larry G. (Janice) Adamson, both of Mount Olivet; a brother, Roger Gifford, of Flemingsburg; two grandchildren, Tracy (Jenny Day) Adamson and Terry Adamson; and two great-grandchildren, Natalie Marie Adamson and Emily Rose Adamson.
Services are 11 a.m., Thursday at Robertson County Funeral Home with Ron Spencer and Rev. Kevin Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in Shannon Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
