Dorothy Eulene Allen James died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at her home.
She was born Sept. 25, 1926, in Rowan County, to the late George and Effie Allen.
She was a homemaker and great supporter of her husband, Paul in his sanitation business and singing. She was a member of the Heavenly Light Singers, Wallingford Christian Holiness Church and a member of the ladies auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Paul James; one son, Larry Niles James; a sister, Maxine Hickerson; brothers, Owen, Bob, Clayton and Don Allen; and son-in-law, Wayne Snapp
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara J. Snapp of Fleming County and Debbie (Marvin) Emmons of Fleming County; brothers, Ken Allen, Ivan Allen, James Allen and David Allen; sisters: Naomi Ross and Leota Moyers; grandchildren, Joetta (Rick) Marshall, Larry (Whitney) Snapp, Paula (Jason) Marshall, Bobbie Jo (Robbie) Vice, Dr. Jessica (Todd) Fortwengler and Casey Mason; great- grandchildren, Christa (Larry) Flora, Miranda (David) Utterback, Natalie Snapp, Brandon Tipton, James Fortwengler, Benjamin Fortwengler, Brandy Vice, Jessie Vice, Xavier Mason, Gunnar Mason and Richard Mason; and three great-great-grandchildren, Dakota Flora, Jeg Flora and Dawson Flora.
Services 1 p.m., Monday at the Wallingford Christian Holiness Church, Wallingford.
Burial will follow in Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home after 5 p.m., Sunday and after 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
