Nickels, Fryman obits

Mr. Nickels

Carl James Nickels, 41, of Wallingford, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was a driver for Bulk Transit Corp.
Mr. Nickels was born July 30, 1967, in Buchanan County, Va., the son of Vonda Sue White Dyer of Muses Mills and the late Carl Nickels.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Derrick Nickels of Pembrooke, Va.; a daughter, Heather Renee Nickels, of Pembrooke; his fiancee', Kathleen Sampson of Wallingford; a brother, Randall Nickels of Virginia; a step-daughter, Katie Sampson of Fleming County; three step-sons, Steven Laurain of Michigan, and Wayne Sampson and Joey Sampson, both of Fleming County; and his grandmother, Jessie White of Pike County.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Kenneth Dyer; his grandmother, Margie Nickels; and grandfathers, James White and Bill Nickels.
Services are 11 a.m., Friday at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery in Morehead.

Mr. Fryman
GEORGE EVERETT FRYMAN, age 87, Ewing, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at Johnson Mathers Healthcare in Carlisle. Born in Nicholas County, July 11, 1921, to the late Albert Levi and Edna Francis Fryman, he was a retired Harrison Motor employee. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Lee Fryman and Roy Fryman and a sister, Lucy Mae Fryman.
He is survived by his wife, Lula Bell Getz; a son, Everett Jason Fryman, Harrison County; a daughter, Lori Beth (R. J.) Giles, Bourbon County; a stepson, William Getz, Fleming County; a stepdaughter, Connie Hart, Fleming County; a sister, Maggie Bell Fryman, Cynthiana; a granddaughter, Madison Giles; five step-grandchildren, George Rickett, Melinda Strong, Pamela Mount, Dawn Simmons and Clayton Getz; several step-great grandchildren and a step-great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Ware Funeral Home by Pastor. Ray Chamberlin and John Chamberlin. Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday. Burial will be in Wagoner's Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
