Hazel Vice

- Mrs. Hazel Hurst Vice, 87, of Wilmore, formerly of Hillsboro, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at St. Joseph Hospice in Lexington.
Mrs. Vice was born March 3, 1921, in Fleming County, and was the daughter of the late John C. and Sarah Alta Caudill Hurst. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Forest, Harlan and Oscar Hurst; and one sister, Lovell Cox. Her husband, Wensel O’Brien Vice, passed away June 30, 2000.
Mrs. Vice is survived by two daughters, Betty Ann (Sammie) Cassity of Lexington and Peggy Lynn (Jack) Brown of Nicholasville; and one granddaughter, Andrea Brown of Lexington.
Mrs. Vice was a retired postal clerk, homemaker and farmer. She was active in the Hillsboro United Methodist Church as a board member, Sunday school teacher and youth leader. She was also a 4-H leader for many years in the community.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at the Hutton Funeral Home, Hillsboro. with the Rev. Chuck Cooper and Larry Sims officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at Northcutt and Son Home for Funerals, in Morehead and one hour prior to the funeral at the Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
