Dennis R. Lowe Jr., 79, of Wallingford Road, Flemingsburg, passed away Monday March 28, 2011 at his residence.
He was born April 28, 1931, in Fleming County to the late Dennis R. Lowe Sr. and Alma Davis Lowe Duff.
He was a retired construction worker and farmer .
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Lena May Lowe in February 2008.
Survivors include eight children, Rick Lowe, Bobbie (Gary) McCord, Connie (Gerald) Crain, Cindy (Johnny) Hardin, D.R. (Debbie) Lowe and Joni (Mike) Hazelrigg, all of Fleming County, Peggy (Randy) Hamm of Burlington, and Mark (Kim) Lowe, Mount Sterling,; 23 grandchildren, Daniel and Duane Lowe, Gary, Shad and Scott McCord, Emily Anderson, Betsy Keller, J.J. and Patrick Hardin, Tara Couch, Randi Jo Reeves, Amanda Smith, Jamie Hamm, Stacy, Dennis and Shannon Lowe, Kassie Celsor, Katie, Kelly and Samantha Hurst and Shelby, Zachary and Parker Lowe; 20 great-grandchildren; and one brother, William Lowe of Flemingsburg.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Wasson officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home will be after 5 p.m., Wednesday.
