Rescheduled Public Hearing

The first reading of the proposed floodplain management ordinance was held on January 12, 2010 at the regular Fleming County Fiscal Court meeting. The second reading of proposed floodplain management ordinance will be held at the REGULAR meeting of the Fleming County Fiscal Court on TUESDAY, MARCH 9, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the CITY ANNEX BUILDING, 160 WEST ELECTRIC AVE, FLEMINGSBURG (old Newman Building at City Park)

A copy of the proposed ordinance is available in full text for public inspection at the Office of the County Judge/Executive during normal business hours at 201 Court Square, Flemingsburg

The Fleming County Fiscal Court will hold the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the City Annex building located at the old City Park Newman Building, 160 West Electric Ave, Flemingsburg

Mrs. Stidam

FLEMINGSBURG -- Goldie Jewell Stidam, 82, of Wallingford died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at the Fleming County Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Franklin Stidam who died Feb. 13, 2006.

She was born in Fleming County on Sept. 30, 1927, to the late Charles and Rebecca Evans Howell.

She is survived by a daughter, Angela (Bill) Compton of Wallingford; one son, Marvin (Charlotte) Stidam of Connersville, Ind.; one brother, Ray Howell of New Castle, Ind.; two sisters, Gladys Bradley of Flemingsburg and Geraldine Porter of Wallingford; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Howell; and five sisters, Gracie M. Howell, Flora Jones, Nola Fields, Gertrude Howell and Dora Howell.

Services are 1 p.m., Tuesday at the Petersville Christian Church with Rev. Arnold Howell and Pastor, Jim Porter officiating.

Burial will follow in the Esham Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m., Friday, at the Petersville Christian Church until time of the service at 1 p.m.
