Mr. Graves

George Mason Graves Jr., 66, of Flemingsburg went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, after an extended illness.

He was born Oct. 20, 1944, to the late George Mason Graves Sr. and Onie Graves.

He was a member of the Wallingford Christian Holiness Church.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Julia Maria Taylor Graves of Flemingsburg; two sons, George Mason Graves III of Flemingsburg and Lloyd (Nancy) of Madisonville; a daughter-in-law, Mendy Graves of Flemingsburg; two grandchildren, MaKayla and Devin Graves of Flemingsburg; two step-grandchildren, Gavin of Madisonville and Cheyenne of Flemingsburg; his longtime dog, Prissy; and two brothers, Paul (Christina) Graves of Indiana, and Joseph (Edna) Graves of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; along with special friends, David and Lora Lee; and his extended church family and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Edward Lee Graves; one brother, Carl Graves; and a sister, Ramona Dunaway.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 30, 2010, at the Wallingford Christian Holiness Church. Rev. Tom Redmon and Bro. Charlie Hamm will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.

Visitation is noon until time for the service at 2 p.m., today at the church.
