Miss Hedger

Linda Kay Hedger, 59, of Flemingsburg died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Aug. 8, 1951, in Mason County to Charles and the late Edna Ann Hedger.

She worked for the University of Kentucky parking police and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

She is survived by her father, Charles; two brothers, Roger Hedger of Flemingsburg and John (Madonna) Hedger of Helena; one sister, Mary Nell (Richie) Stacy of West Liberty.

Mass of Christian Burial will be intoned for Ms. Hedger at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Verne F. Hogan officiating.

Burial will be private at the request of the family and Ms. Hedger.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m., Friday at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home, Flemingsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Home, Maysville.

Mr. McCord

Philip Dale McCord, age 73 of Georgetown, Ohio died Wednesday, December 08, 2010 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman, Ohio. He was a graduate of Orangeburg, Kentucky High School class of 1955 and a graduate of the Ohio Mechanics Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. Philip was retired from Lunkenhiemer Valve Company where he worked as a draftsman and also retired from Century Club Car Golf Cart Company where he worked as a mechanic. He was a Christian by Faith and a member of the Maysville Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Philip was born July 22, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of the late Woodrow and Ruth (Stafford) McCord. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by is wife Etta Jo (Mitchell) McCord in 1984, one sister – Roberta (Pyles) Kinner, one sister in-law – Irene Pyles and one nephew – John Pyles, Jr.

Philip is survived by one son – Mark McCord and wife Missy of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter - Missy Jimison and husband Brian of Russellville, Ohio; five grandchildren – Austin and Jansen McCord and Dylan, Emmalee and Colton Jimison; four brothers – Dean McCord and wife Gloria of Marietta, Georgia, Eddie McCord and wife Sandy of Maysville, Kentucky, Billy Pyles and wife Mary Ethel of Mayslick, Kentucky and John Pyles of Maysville, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Elizaville Cemetery in Elizaville, Kentucky. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Blvd, Mt.Orab, Ohio 45121.
