Mr. Shrout

Terry Kendall "Puff" Shrout, 50, passed from this world on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 after a courageous fight with cancer.

He was born on April 7, 1960 in Mason County to Harlan Shrout and the late Carolyn Curry Shrout Ross.

He was an employee of East Kentucky Power for 23 years and enjoyed farming. He attended Flemingsburg Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debra Maddox Shrout; one son, Christopher (Jessica) Bradford of Nicholasville; two brothers, Barry Shrout of Maysville and David (Peggy) Shrout of Flemingsburg; two sister-in-laws, Beverly (Guy) McCowan of Winchester, Michelle (Rick) Hickle of Foster; one brother-in-law, James Maddox of Hillsboro; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services for Kendall will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home. Burial in Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation 5 - 8 p.m., Friday, May 21, 2010 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hester

Anna Mae Hester went to be with her savior, Jesus Christ on May 19, 2010 at the age of 85.

She was born in Fleming County on May 24, 1924, to the late William and Lula Smalley Gulley.

She was a life-time member of the Petersville Church of Christ, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a housewife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law and was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Archie Noel Hester; one son, William (Patty) Hester of Flemingsburg; one grandson, Daniel (Tara) Hester of Pleasureville; two granddaughters, Michele (Bill) Barnoski of Tollesboro and Melissa (George) Gillum of Vanceburg; three great-grandchildren, Courtney and Cody Barnoski and Samatha Gillum; one brother, R.G. Gulley of Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Betty Gulley of Wallingford, Justine Gulley and Coleen Gulley of Flemingsburg.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Hester and Donald Hester; two grandchildren, Michael Hester and Cheryl Hester; and three brothers, William Gulley, Ova Gulley and Virgil Gulley.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday at the Petersville Church of Christ with Bro. Arnold Howell and Bro. Hillary Underwood officiating.

Burial in Sunset Memorial Park.

Visitation after 6 p.m., today at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
