Mr. Ruark

Earl Francis Ruark, 82, of Ewing, passed away, Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at his residence.

Earl was a Christian and a retired farmer.

Earl was born in Bourbon County, Feb. 4, 1928, to the late Floyd and Flora Mae Eubanks Ruark, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Eddie Ruark, Floyd Ruark Jr. and Charles Ruark.

Earl is survived by his wife if 62 years, Norma Jane Purcell Ruark; and three sons, Barry (Debbie) Ruark of Carlisle, Johnny (Molly) Ruark of Ewing, and Roger (Carolyn) Ruark of Ewing. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Sylvia Ruark, Travis (Jodi) Ruark, Cody Ruark and Kyle (Emily) Ruark; two great-grandchildren, Nate Ruark and Ty Ruark Hawkins; a brother, Paul (Louise) Ruark of Frankfort; and two sister, Evelyn Engle and Mary (Jim) Carpenter of Mount Olivet. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services are 11 a.m., Saturday at Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Rev. Jerry Boling, Rev. Mike Burnett and Ron Gill officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mount Tabor Cemetery with Travis Ruark, Cody Ruark, Kyle Ruark, Stanton Ruark Stewart Jr., Virgil Harding and Ralph Owens as pallbearers.

Visitation is after 5 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
