Mr. Tackett

James Allen Tackett, 97, of Plummers Landing, passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Fleming County.
Brother Tackett was born in Rowan County on Feb. 26, 1911, the son of the late William B. and Ellen Cline Tackett.
He was preceded in death by hi wife of 73 years, Sylvia Cooper Tackett, in June 1203.
Brother Tackett was a member of the Crain Creek Christian Church and a Kentucky Christian Conference minister for 73 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Eula (Charles) Hilterbrand of Plummers Landing; one son, Lowell (Bernice) Tackett of Flemingsburg; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Tackett; a daughter, Joyce Marlene Tackett; three grandchildren; eight brothers; and four sisters.

Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Newman Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m., today at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harmon

Arizona Buckler Harmon, 78, of Concord Community, passed away Saturday.
She was born March 29, 1930. Her parents were the late Arie and Edna Buckler.
She is survived by her husband, Hershel Harmon; daughters, Carolyn House of Nicholas County, Barbara Harmon of Owingsville and Darlene Gallagher of Hillsboro; sons, Albert Harmon of Fleming County, and Roger Harmon, Jeffery Harmon and Michael Harmon, all of Hillsboro; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by children, Judy Donovan and Ray Harmon.
Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with the Rev. William Harmon officiating.
Burial will be in Longview Cemetery, Bethel.

Visitation is after 5 p.m., on Tuesday at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
