Mrs. Pogue

Naomi Lee Ross Pogue, 94, a resident of the Maysville Nursing & Rehab Facility passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 at the facility. She was a former resident of Fairview in Fleming Co. and a longtime resident of May’s Lick. She was a retired cook at the Thorobred Inn in May’s Lick and the widow of John W. “Pete” Pogue.

Mrs. Pogue was born in Mason County on June 16, 1916 daughter of the late Robert & Lula Frederick Ross.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved crafting to give to family and friends and recently made bracelets for children in the ward at U.K. Hospital. She was a Kentucky Colonel.

Survivors include a daughter Louise (Orville W.) Miller of Fairview and 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Robert A. Pogue and 3 brothers and 6 sisters.

Services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at Palmer Funeral Home in May’s Lick. Interment will follow in the May’s Lick Cemetery. Visitation 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials suggested to May’s Lick Christian Church. Condolences to www.palmerfuneralhome.net
