Mrs. Williams

Frances Louise (Garey) Williams, 92, of Country Lane, Flemingsburg died, Thursday, Dec. 30, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born June 16, 1918, in Fleming County, she was the widow of Roy Williams Sr.

A housewife, she was a member of Elizaville Christian Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, pianist and organist for many years. She was a retired real estate broker and a partner with Roy Williams Real Estate and Auctioneering. She was a volunteer at Fleming County Hospital Auxiliary; a member of Fleming County Homemakers and Busy Bee Homemaking Club. She was a member of the Kentucky Heritage Quilters Society; her special interest was quilting with her friends.

She is survived by sons, R.C (Margaret Keightly) Williams Jr. of Flemingsburg and Steve (Patricia) Williams of Lexington; sister, Mary Lois Larr of Michigan; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Margaret Garey of Flemingsburg; nephews Dennis Garey and Roger Garey, both of Flemingsburg; and two nieces and nephews from out of state.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bessie Garey and Riblen Garey.

Services are 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Denton-Workman Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Norman Wasson.

Burial will be in Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation is noon until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
