Mr. Nealis

Robert Kenneth (Bob) Nealis, age 77, of Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2010, at the V. A. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Born December 24, 1933, in Hillsboro, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Durbin and Gertrude Likes Nealis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Frank Berman Nealis on March 9, 1991, and a sister, Pauline Likes Nealis Harmon, on July 20, 2001.

Bob is survived by a sister, Norma Nealis; a niece, Kim Harmon Hester of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; a great niece, Jennifer Hester Gulley and husband Kenney of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; a great nephew, Brian Thomas Hester of Wallingford, Kentucky; and great-great nephew Benjamin Gulley and great-great niece Abigail Gulley, both of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.

Bob served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War. He retired from the Physical Plant at Morehead State University and was the owner of Denton Mercantile and Rock Lick Grocery.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the Hutton Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Sexton, Jr., and Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Flemingsburg Franklin Sousley V.F.W. Post 1834 and American Legion Post No. 5.

Pallbearers will be Jim Sauer, Jewell Call, Steve Call, Kenney Gulley, William Thompson, and Brian Hester.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Kentucky.

Wigginton child

Jesse Lee Wigginton, 16 months old, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, in Sharpsburg.

He was born Aug. 10, 2009, in Lexington, the son of William Patrick and Janet Crawford Wigginton.

On addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Aubrey Layne Wigginton; his paternal grandparents, Jay and Sue Wigginton of Flemingsburg; his maternal grandparents, Laura and Bill Brown of Flemingsburg; and his great-grandparents, Marion and Alma Crawford of Hillsboro and Woodie Mitchell of Flemingsburg.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lee Crawford and Pam Halleran.

Services were Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at 7 p.m., at Denton Workman Funeral Home with James Hickerson officiating..

Private burial  followed in the Longview Cemetery.
