Late Wednesday, July 22, 17 year old Brad Barker of Ewing received a kidney transplant at the Childrens Hospital of Cincinnati. The call came at mid-morning and the family rushed to the hospital where the operation began at about 5 pm.
The procedure was successful and doctors are waiting for the new kidney to begin its function.
Brad has been on dialysis for three years while waiting for the donor kidney. He is the son of Greg and Marcy Barker and grandson of Garry Barker.
