Mr. Shepard

Owen Robert Shepard, 56, of Flemingsburg died Sunday, April 25, 2010.

He was born Dec. 22, 1953, to the late Hazel Hood Shepard and Lawrence Shepard.

Owen was a laborer for Toyo Seat.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Collis Shepard of Flemingsburg; two daughters, Margaret (Wayne) Coffey and Rachel Shepard, all of Flemingsburg; five sisters, Grace Kivisto of North Henderson, Ill., Lori Hatch, Bernadine Collis, Jo Ann Allex, and Dixie Bell, all of Gaylesburg, Ill.; and three granddaughters, Haley Coffey, Madison Coffey and Zoe Coffey.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter; two brothers; and one sister.

Services are 1 p.m.. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.

Burial will follow in the Goddard Cemetery.

Visitation is 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Mr. Brown

 

Roger Dale Brown, age 41, of Fraley Road, Salt Lick, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010, at his residence.

He was born August 5, 1968, in Elliott County, Kentucky, son of Jasper Brown, Jr. of Morehead, Kentucky, and the late Hazel Marie Trent Brown, who passed away January 1, 2008. He was also preceded him in death by a half-brother, Virgil Darrell Hall, and a nephew, Chad David Brown.

In addition to his father, Roger is survived by one son, Jason Brown of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Vanessa Howard and husband Bobby Ray of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; three brothers, David Randall (Randy) Brown of Owingsville, Kentucky, Talmadge Junior (Timmy) Brown of Morehead, Kentucky, and Ricky Brown of Hillsboro, Kentucky; five sisters, Marita Justine Adkins of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Judy Kay Crum of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Michella Renae Mabry of Morehead, Kentucky, Shawna Marie Goldie of Owingsville, Kentucky, and Genevie Payne of Morehead, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

Roger was employed as a mechanic at Valley View Hardwoods, Inc.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Trent Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Mabry, Billy Adkins, Shawn Adkins, Sammy Adkins, Bobby Howard, John Johnson, and Roman Patrick.
