Mr. Hunt

Ricky “Rick” W. Hunt, 56, of Washington Court House, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Kettering Medical Center after a long and hard fought battle with Lukemia.

Rick was born in Maysville on April 12, 1953. He joined the US Air Force in 1970. He drove a semi-truck for 32 years, during which he drove for many companies but found his “home” at Jamestown Transportation where made many life-long friends and was known to everyone as “Rick-a-Sha.” He loved being outdoors and working in the yard, driving across the country and watching NASCAR.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Charles Hunt: his brother Frank Hunt; special parents Clell and Faye Donaldson; special niece Noreen Donaldson and granddaughter Ella Puckett.

Rick is survived by his wife of 28 years, Vicki (Payton) Hunt, whom he married on Oct. 4, 1981. He is also survived by his children, Ricky Shane Hunt of Waashington Counrthouse, Shannon Hunt of Washington Court House, Shawn Terra (Nathan) Puckett of Washington Court House; Stacie (Paul) Moore, Oak Hill; Troy (Staci) Payton, Washington Court House; and Nichole (Robert) Herron, Youngstown; by grandchildren Preston Taylor, Emily Brewer, Ceiarra Puckett, Natalee Payton, Trenton Palmer, Shane “Austin” Hunt, Devon Hunt, and Gavin Puckett; by brothers and sisters Phyllis (Roger) Binegar, Jeffersonville; Pat (Don) Morris, Washington Court House; Ronnie Hunt, Washington Court House; Charles (Mildred) Hunt, Washington Court House; and special brother Calvin (Lida) Donaldson of Flemingsburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Jennifer (Kyle) Hurles and Brad (Heidi) Binegar and by special friends Kevin Adkins, Gregg Hyatt, and Bobbie Gordon.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Morrow’s Funeral Home, 415 East Court Street, Washington Court House, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 24, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Student Art Show is April 27

Over 300 pieces of student art will be on display on Monday, April 27, at the Flemingsburg Elementary School. Included are grades K-6. The display opens at 6:30 pm in the school cafeteria.
