Mr. Landsaw

Wesley Danial "Wester" Landsaw, 28, of Poplar Grove went home to be with his Lord Monday Nov. 15, 2010, in Bath County. He was born Sept. 21, 1982, to David and Donna Landsaw in Maysville. He was a 2003 graduate of Fleming County High School and was a carpenter with Lengecher Construction. He was a member of the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God and Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. "Wester" was always a very happy person and very loving. He enjoyed singing praises for the Lord, attending church, hunting, fishing, spending time with friends and family, and enjoyed Kentucky basketball.

He is survived by his parents; his fiance, Terri Lowe of Flemingsburg; two brothers, Todd Landsaw of Flemingsburg and Josh (Alice) Landsaw of Vanceburg; a sister, Annie (Corey) Horsley of Flemingsburg; grandmother, Bitha Landsaw of Flemingsburg; nephew, Caleb Landsaw; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Carl and Rosie Carpenter and Clifford Landsaw.

Services 11 a.m., Friday Nov. 19, 2010, at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.

Burial in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Thursday at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.

Mr. Hester

Archie Noel Hester, 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, Nov. 15, 2010. He was born on June 1, 1921, on Hester Ridge, the son of the late Everett and Edith McRoberts Hester. He was a World War II veteran, a lifelong member, treasurer, and deacon of the Petersville Church of Christ. He was a farmer, was employed at Kentucky King Tobacco warehouse, director and agent for Farmers Home Mutual Insurance. He was a member of the board of directors at Farmers Bank, and president and treasurer of the Sugar Loaf Camp. He was a Christian who set a great example for all who knew him. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Anna Mae Gulley Hester.

He is survived by a son, William (Patty) Hester of Flemingsburg; grandson, Daniel (Tara) Hester of Pleasureville; two granddaughters, Michele (Bill) Barnoski and Melissa (George) Gillum of Vanceburg; three great-grandchildren, Courtney and Cody Barnoski and Samantha Gillum; three sisters, Lela Rankin of Maysville, Minnie Prater of Pleasureville and Joyce Singleton of Foxport; one brother, Jesse Hester of Rectorville; two sister-in-laws, Jean Hester of Hester Ridge and Wilma Hester of Maysville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, James Hester and Donald Hester; two grandchildren, Michael and Cherlyd Hester; one sister, Blanche Doyle; three brothers, Raymond, Clayton and Keith Hester

Services at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Petersville Church of Christ.

Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5 and Franklin Sousley, VFW Post 1834.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m., Wednesday at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, Flemingsburg.

Contributions may be given to Petersville Church of Christ or Sugar Loaf Camp.
