Mrs. Harris

Alice Elizabeth Gibbs Harris, age 79, of Maxey Flat Road, Hillsboro, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky.

She was born June 13, 1931, in Jeffersonville, Kentucky, son of the late Russell and Margaret Ann King Gibbs.

Her husband, Oral Harris, preceded her in death on March 16, 2002.

She is survived by three sons, Raymond Harris of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Robert Harris of Marion, Indiana, and Gary Harris of Clarksville, Tennessee; six grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and member of the Little Mary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011, with Rev. Tom Schuurman officiating. Burial will be in the Denton Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Pallbearers will be Elbert Cox, Don Cox, Bud Cox, Mike Cox, Mike Casey, Roger Cox, Ralph Cox, Jeff Mabry, and Art Mabry.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2011 at Hutton Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Kentucky.

Mrs. Williams

Violet A. Williams, 59, of Maysville, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 10, 1951, to the late Earl G. and Hannah Dailey.

She had worked as a nurse's aid, store clerk and with the Amish community. She was a member of Maysville Mason County Community Lighthouse Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl T. Williams in August 2006; a daughter, Regina Williams; a brother, Daryl Wayne Williams; and her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Timmy Williams and Jason Williams; two granddaughters, Breanna and Kaytlyn Williams; three sisters, Bonnie Hamilton, Barbara Faris and Alberta Art; one brother, Mike Dailey; and several nieces and nephews

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Maysville Mason County Community Lighthouse Church.

Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday at the church.

Ms. Humphries

Mallie Humphries, 86, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 23, 2011, at Fleming County Hospital.

She was born in Lewis County, Jan. 31, 1925, to the late Joe and Minnie Humphries Fields.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Donald and Clinton Humphries; two half-sisters, Irene Hilander and Christine Barber; and seven step-brothers and sisters.

Survivors include a sister, Laura Mae Humphries; a half-brother, Artis (Maxine) Fields; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews

Services will be at noon, Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home, Flemingsburg.

Burial will follow in Thorp Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday 10 a.m.-noon at the funeral home.
