Mr. Browning

Chester Garr Browning, 77, of Flemingsburg died Tuesday, May 4, 2010.

Mr. Browning was born in Lewis County on Oct. 10, 1932, to the late Oliver Hayden and Mary Elizabeth Ross Browning.

He is survived by his wife, Della Swim Browning. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Doyle, Phoebe Little, Pearl Applegate and Hazel Kilgore; and three brothers, Lawrence, Russell and Joseph Browning.

Services are 1 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg. Rev. Victor Gibbs and Rev. James Hickerson will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Pleasureville Cemetery.

Visitation is after 6 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hickerson

Roy Brooks Hickerson, 82, of Flemingsburg died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Morehead.

He was born in Fleming County, July 8, 1927, to the late Russell Garr Hickerson and Ada Gardner Hickerson.

He was a retired farmer and and laborer at U.S.Shoe.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Bateman Hickerson.

He is survived by two sons, Roy (Sue) Hickerson of Ewing and Larry (Sharon) Hickersion of Flemingsburg; one daughter Mabel (Ronnie) Leet of Ewing; and four sisters, Mary (Larry) Harper of Ashland, Ohio, Lena (Charles) McGone of Wallingford, Iolene (Richard) Hamm of Wallingford and Janet (Kim) Brewer of Fleming County; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Hickerson; and one grandchild.

Services are 1 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2010, at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home in Flemingsburg. Rev. Ronnie Conley will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hyatt

Evadna Besslean Hyatt, 92, of Flemingsburg died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at her residence.

She was born in Fleming County on March 3, 1918, to the late Herbert A. Story and Lena Pearl Selby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Wilson Hyatt.

She was a housewife.

She is survived by two sons, Elmo (Barb) Hyatt of Columbia, Tenn. and Jewett (Paula) Hyatt of Flemingsburg; one daughter, Phyllis (Harold) Peters of Flemingsburg; six grandchildren, Sheri (Ben) Phillips, Michael Peters, Stephanie (Charles) Mains, Ron (Terri) Hyatt, Samantha (John) Burford and John (April) Hyatt; 18 great-grandchildren, Shannan Prwett, Benjamin Phillips, Brandan Phillips, Michael E. Peters, Justin M. Peters, Kyle Peters, Jimmy Peters, Benjamin Mains, Grace Mains, Gabrielle Hyatt, Wilson Hyatt, Samantha Hyatt, Makenzie Burford, Mallory Burford, Marley Burford, Zachary Hyatt, Austin Hyatt, Macy Hyatt; and two great-great-grandchildren, Alyssa Prwett and Kaleb Prwett.

She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Amanda Phillips.

Services are 1 p.m., Friday, May 7, 2010, at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home in Flemingsburg. Rev. Norman Wasson. Rev. Peter Morgan, Rev. Lynn Beech and Dr. Chris Beckham will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
