Hickerson killed in wreck near Ashland

According to the Ashland Daily Independent, the third traffic crash in nine days in the Coalton area killed a Flemingsburg man Friday on the Industrial Parkway.
Jonathon A. Hickerson, 26, died after his pickup collided with a delivery truck, according to the Ashland post of the Kentucky State Police.
Hickerson was driving south on the parkway shortly after 5 a.m. and drifted into the northbound lane, according to police. His pickup collided head-on with the truck.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, Jerry Esque, 46, wasn’t injured, police said.

Mrs. Taylor

Betty J. Taylor, 83, of the Beechburg community, Fleming County, died Thursday morning, Nov. 26, 2009. She was a retired O.B. Nurse from the Fleming County Hospital. Betty was born in Mason County on Nov. 24, 1926 to the late Ray and Jenny Cooper Ravencraft. He was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Clyde Taylor who died Jan. 16, 2007.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Duane) Parker of Ewing; one son, Michael Taylor of Okla.; one brother, Stanley Ravencraft of Maysville; two sisters, Linda Dodge of Flemingsburg and Millie Pitakis of Maysville; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Glen C. Taylor Jr., four brothers, Kenny, Paul, Ray and John Ravencraft.
Services are 1 p.m., Monday, at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.
Burial in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home after 6 p.m., Sunday.
