Mrs. Howe

Betty Walton Howe, 77, of Grange City, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at the Flemingsburg Pioneer Trace Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Fleming County to the late Noel Walton and Mary E. Walton.

Betty taught in the Fleming County School System, was a member of the Grange City Christian Church and a member of the Eastern Star Rebekah Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Howe.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Howe of Lexington; two daughters, Jacquelyn (Billy) McCord and Jan (Chuck) Brown, both of Flemingsburg; a sister, Nancy Corbin of Ewing; four grandchildren, Cyle Hazelrigg of Flemingsburg, Blake Brown of Memphis, Tenn., Adam McCord and Daniel McCord of Fleming County; and one great-grandchild, Hadlee Ray Hazelrigg.

Services are 11 a.m., Friday at the Grange City Christian Church. Rev. David Barnett and Bro. Randy Hawkins will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Visitation is after 6 p.m., Thursday at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home, Flemingsburg.
