Lorene "Janie" Helphenstine, 55 passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 in Mason County.
She was born in Fleming County Nov. 18, 1955 to the late Albert and Lillian Gray McFarland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry McFarland and J.R. McFarland.
She is survived by a daughter, Tonya (Raplh) Davenport of Indiana; and two grandsons, Braxton and Braydon Davenport.
She is also survived by four brothers and one sister, Billy (Jessie) McFarland of Maysville, Gene (Teresa) McFarland of Paris, Steven (Jess) McFarland of Hilltop, and Allen (Carin) McFarland of Ewing, and Marilyn (Ronnie) Jefferson of Germantown.
She is also survived by a close friend, Steve Eldridge; and a special nephew to whom she was very close, Jamie Baker.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, at Palmer Funeral Home, Germantown. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Monday, March 7, at Palmer Funeral Home.
