Lt. Col. Jack W. Berhiem, U.S. Army, retired, passed away March 31, 2009 in Fullerton California. He was married to Ruby L. Hysong, Bernheim. She died in 2002. Mr. Berhiem's mother in law was the late Ella Hysong Dorsey, of Elizaville. On his visits to Flemingsburg, he enjoyed fishing on Kirk Owen's pond. He was originally from Louisville, Ky. He & Ruby met at the University of Ky. in 1942, & were married 60 years.
Jack & Ruby are survived by their daughter, Jackie, son in law Bill Gaumer, & two grandchildren Ella 30, & Jack 26.
