Mr. Wagoner

Kenneth C. Wagoner, 79, of Kelley Pike, Flemingsburg died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at Fleming County Hospital.

He was born Aug. 8, 1931, the son of the late Earl and Opal Wagoner.

Mr. Wagoner was a dairy and tobacco farmer. He was a member of the Flemingsburg Baptist Church and the F&AM 112 Masonic Lodge of Flemingsburg. Mr. Wagoner served on several boards, including the Fleming County Water Association, Soil Conservation, Farmers Home Mutual and Southern States.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois McElfresh Wagoner; three sons, Phillip (Lisa), Dewayne (Genia) and Galen (Susan) Wagoner of Flemingsburg; six grandchildren, Jesshia Fulkerson, Robert, Kelley, Dekeitha, Cordell and Sara Wagoner; two step-grandchildren, Casey Young and Cole Jent; one step-great-grandson, Landen Jett; three sisters, Helen Deatley of Bethel, Ohio, Evelyn Martin of Comfort, Texas and Elaine Snapp of Paris; and 13 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse "Bud" Wagoner.

Services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery in Elizaville.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the F&AM 112 Masonic Lodge of Flemingsburg or the Alzheimer's Association.
