Vikings 71, ,Panthers 13

The Rowan County Vikings whipped Fleming County 71-13 Friday evening. Details will be in Gazette.

Mr. Story

Martin Story, age 98, of Maysville Road, Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, September 10, 2010, at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg.

Born March 2, 1912, in Fleming County, he was the son of the late John and Darcus Marshall Story.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Story.

His wife of 40 years, Alberta LeForge Story, passed away Oct. 6, 2005.

Mr. Story is survived by one step son, Eddie Ivans of Flemingsburg; two grandsons, Keith Marshall Story and Mark Story, both of Columbus, Ohio; one step-granddaughter, Michelle (Freddy) Riggs; one step-great-grandson, Allen Riggs; and one step-great-granddaughter, Isabella Riggs, all of Maysville; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Story was Fleming County jailer for 12 years and was a member of the Poplar Plains Christian Church.

Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at Hutton Funeral Home with the Rev. George Sloan and the Rev. Ford Hinton officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Earl Burnette, Weldon Lynam, Wayne Lynam, Eddie Weatherspoon, Harold Himes, Pat Price, Gerald D. Saunders and Freddy Riggs.

Visitation is after 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept.r 12, 2010, at Hutton Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
