Mr. Vice

Charles James Vice, 93, of Energy Road, went to be with the Heavenly Father Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, at the Fleming County Hospital.

He was the eldest son of Rolla and Aretha Vice.

Mr. Vice was a lifelong farmer and dairyman and a World War II veteran of George Patton's Third Army and a member of the Commanders Club for the Disabled American Veterans.

He leaves behind a beloved and devoted wife of 70 years, Geneva McCord Vice.

Mr. Vice was a devoted father to two sons, Donnie (Patsy) Vice and Bobby Joe (Peggy) Vice; and two daughters, Brenda (Ronnie) Donahue and Lisa Ann Vice. Mr. Vice also leaves behind two granddaughters, Kim Donahue Creecy and Julie Vice (Mark) Morris. Mr. Vice is also the great-grandfather to Meghan, Jacob and Hannah Creecy and Mallory and Keaton Donahue. Also surviving is Amy Donahue Price and two step-grandson, Jamie (Vickie) Tackett and Travis (Melissa) Tackett; and one step-granddaughter, April (Timmy) Jolly.

Mr. Vice was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He was also preceded in death by a son, Scottie James Vice; and two grandsons, Howie Vice and Jeff Donahue.

He leaves behind several nieces and nephews and three sisters-in-law.

Services are 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 at the St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Verne F. Hogan officiating.

Interment will follow at the Elizaville Cemetery in Elizaville.

Visitation is today, Aug. 18, 2010, at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home.
