A 16 year old Fleming County boy was injured Friday evening while moving hay bales.
According the Fleming County Sheriff’s Office, Lucas Cannon was moving roll bales on the family farm at Mill Creek and Cherry Grove Road.
“When he stopped the tractor and got off, the tractor probably ran over him,” Deputy Thurman Paige. “We are still investigating.”
Paige said that Cannon was able to call his parents with a cell phone. Clay and Becky Cannon found their son in the field and called for medical assistance, according to Paige.
“He was awake at the scene and talked to EMS,” Paige said. “He was airlifted to UK, where he is in critical condition.”
