Mrs. Blair

Mrs. Jean A. Blair, died March 27, 2009, in Sun City, Fla.
She was born in Fleming County on Dec. 30, 1918, to the late Lorena and Arthur E. Arnold. She was a graduate of Flemingsburg High School and attended Transylvania College, in Lexington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Crittenden D. Blair, a Flemingsburg dentist and retired United States Army Colonel.
She is survived by three children, Bonnie B. Giehls (Roy) of Sun City Center, Fla., Thomas C. Blair (Birgitte) of Boca Raton, Fla. and Robert A. Blair (Jackie) of Mason, Texas; six grandchildren, Mary G. Hawthorne (Mark) of McKinney, Texas, Robert T. Giehls (Linda) of Elizabeth City, N.C., Mia Blair Mayo (Jaime) of Highland Beach, Fla., Lt. Philip T. Blair of US Army, Fort Hood, Texas, Brian T. Blair and Zachary A. Blair of Mason, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Nicole C. Hawthorne of McKinney, Texas, Marie Graziano (Dan) of Easley, S.C., and Ria Dunn of Salem, Ore.; and one great-great-grandson, Vance Graziano.
Private graveside services will be held April 18, 2009, at the Fleming County Cemetery in Flemingsburg. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Stockton Station Inn in Flemingsburg.

Mrs. Vice

Mrs. Wilma Jean Vice, 63, of the Mount Gilead Road, died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at her residence.
She was born in Coeburn, Va., on May 17, 1945, to the late William Harvey and Ruth Harvey and step-mother, the late Myrtle Harvey Music.
She is survived by her husband, James Vice of Flemingsburg.
Mrs. Vice was a nurses aide and had worked at several nursing homes.
She is also survived by three sons, James Walter (Jeanie) Vice of Lexington, Mark (Hariett) Vice of Illinois, and Matthew (Danielle) Vice of Sandusky, Ohio; two daughters, Tammy (David) Keinath of Lexington and Brenda (George) Berridge of New Washington, Ohio; four brothers and a sister-in-law, Janice Harvey of Clyde, Ohio, Roger (Cathy) Harvey of Mosheim, Ohio, Sam (Margaret) Harvey of Sandusky, Ohio, Glen (Pat) Harvey of Sandusky, Ohio and Kenneth (Robin) Harvey of Collins, Ohio; two sisters, Katie Nutter of Sandusky, Ohio and Betty Sue (Jack) Smith of Saint Paul, Va.; her dog, Katie Bug; several grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Theressa Ann Vice; a brother, Rev. Donald Harvey, and two sisters, Rita Faye Harvey and Rebecca Ann Harvey.
Services are 2 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2009, at the New Vision Church of God, Mount Sterling Road, Flemingsburg with Rev. Bill Hardy officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Grange City.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m., Sunday at the New Vision Church of God.
