Mr. Vice

Roy “Tom” Vice, age 75, of West High Street, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at St. Joseph - Mt. Sterling.

Born June 16, 1935, in Montgomery County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Albert and Henrietta Hudson Vice. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ira Lee Vice, Billy Vice, and Leonard Vice, and six sisters, Lula Wilson, Lillian Donaldson, Mary Katherine Cooper, Nettie Mae Munday, Elizabeth Toy, and Betty Cobb.

Tom is survived by one brother, Charles “Buddy” Vice of Lexington, Kentucky; four sisters, Alma Vice and Edna Henry, both of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Bertie Razor of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Virginia Brooks of Lexington, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Vice was a retired farmer.

Private graveside services were conducted 11 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010, at Machpelah Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Latimer officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.

Rev. Hill

Rev. Leroy Hill, age 92, of Floral City, Florida, passed away at home on Friday, October 22, 2010, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie Fugett Hill; three sons, Michael (Barbara) Hill, Flemingsburg, KY; Neil (Terri) Hill, Dunnellon, FL; David Hill, Inverness, FL; 2 daughters, Martha (Rollin) Sutfin, Tarpon Springs, FL; Mary (Larry) Highley, Owingsville, KY; 1 brother, George (Jean) Hill, Morehead, KY; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A native of West Virginia, he was born on August 3, 1918, to the late Roy and Dorothy Jonas Hill and moved to Florida in 1972 from Morehead, Kentucky. He was a retired minister and farmer and was employed by General Telephone (GTE) for over 35 years. After moving to Florida, he was the founding pastor of the First Church of God in Brooksville, FL and served the First Church of God of Inverness, FL for many years. He served our country in the U.S. Navy.

Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Guy McKenzie officiating with full military rites conducted by Morehead American Legion Post No. 126.

Pallbearers: Terrence Hill, Ryan Hill, Trent Hill, Ben Hill, Larry Highley, and Kevin Highley.

Visitation is from noon until 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, Morehead, Kentucky.

Mr. Dailey

Noble Dailey, 85, of Milford, Ohio died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010.

He was born March 28, 1925, in Fleming County to the late Charlie and Clara Vice Dailey.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his special friend of more than 50 years, June Williams of Milford; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl Dailey, Robert (Bob) Dailey, Stanley Dailey and Ronnie Dailey; and four sisters, Lillie Saunders, Gladys Perkins, Mary Ishmael, and Lottie Harmon.

Services are 1 p.m., today, Oct. 25, 2010, at Denton-Workman Funeral Home with Rev. Gail Skaggs officiating.

Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday.
