Mr. Ensor

Johnny Ensor, 82, of Mount Carmel Road, died Feb. 13, 2011, at his residence.

He was born March 14, 1928, to the late Tom Ensor and Nona Ensor Moran.

He was a farmer.

He is survived by Effie Hunt of Flemingsburg, Sara Emmons of Goddard, and Jo Ann (Bill) Martin of Sharpsburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Preston Ensor; brothers, Lewis Ensor, Thomas Ray Ensor, James Corbett Ensor, Clyde Jackson Ensor and Robert Wayne Ensor; and a sister, Eva Mullikin.

Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home Chapel, Flemingsburg. Rev. Billy Harmon will officiate.

Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery in Bethel.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis

Robert "Bobby" Donald Davis, 78, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, peacefully at home.

He was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Hillsboro, to the late Charles F. Davis and Maude Calvert Davis.

He was the husband of Gloria Rice Davis of Poplar Plains, whom he married Feb. 18, 1961.

He was a farmer and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Poplar Plains Kentucky Christian Church.

He is survived by four daughters, Maudie Marie (Mitch) Christie of New Mexico, Ruby (Jerry) Cooper of Dover, Carla Manning of Aberdeen, Ohio, and Cynthia (Greg) Blanton of Flemingsburg; his sons, Darrell Davis of Ashland, Dale Davis of Bald Hill, and Dwayne (Brenda) Davis of Flemingsburg; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Manning and Anna Lee Doyle of Flemingsburg.

He was preceded in death by a son, Don Robert Davis; a grandson, Trey Keith Davis; nine brothers; and three sisters.

Services 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Poplar Plains Kentucky Christian Church. Rev. James Humphries and Rev. George Sloan will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Goddard Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., today at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home, Flemingsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Hope of Maysville and Cancer Care Club, Flemingsburg.
