Mrs. Bloomfield

Evelyn Mae Bloomfield, 70, of Vanceburg died at her residence March 6, 2010.

She was born Feb. 20, 1940, in Laurel to the late Lorene Bloomfield Morgan and Edward Philmer Morgan.

She was the step-daughter of the late Loma L. Kiser Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Tony Gale Bloomfield.

Evelyn was a member of the Clarksburg Christian Church. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Keith Bloomfield and wife, Glenda of Vanceburg; five daughters, Beverly Detillion of Vanceburg, Melissa Rickett of Vanceburg, Loretta Johnson of Maysville, Chris Masters of Vanceburg and Merlina Jill Lykins and husband, Shane of Vanceburg; a grandson she raised, Kendall Bloomfield and wife, Michelle of Morehead; one brother, Gary Vinson Morgan and wife, Loraine Morgan of Lebanon; four sisters, Sandra Lewis of Flemingsburg, Brenda Lykins and husband, Jim of Tollesboro, Doris Lewis and husband, Robert of Vanceburg and Angie McKee of Garrison; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Shelby Gene Morgan; and two sisters, Freida Louise Morgan and Barbara McGowan.

Services are 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at the Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg.

Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m., today, March 9 and 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
