Mr. Pollitt

Larry Lee Pollitt, 61, of Flemingsburg died Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Fleming County Hospital.

He was born in Fleming County on Aug. 27, 1948, to the late Forest and Mildred Rolph Pollitt.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and an avid fisherman.

Mr. Pollitt is survived by his wife, Martha Brown Pollitt of Flemingsburg; one son, Matthew Pollitt of Morehead; one sister, Wilheminia (Tammy) Whisman of Flemingsburg; two brothers, Wayne Pollitt of Ewing and Jim Pollitt of Florida; one granddaughter, Taryn Wallingford of Flemingsburg; one grandson, Trent Pollitt of Flemingsburg; several nieces and nephews including two great-nephews named after him, Dustin Lee Pollitt and John Lee Black.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Glen Pollitt.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 7 p.m., at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Pastor Larry Ingram officiating.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m.,Thursday at the funeral home.
