Mrs. Graves

Edna Lou Graves, 72, of Mount Olivet died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

She was born in Eubank on June 13, 1938, to the late Lora Ethel and Estel Chester Adams.

She was an assistant teacher at Deming Schools, working with beloved handicapped children.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Graves; two sons, John (Lisa) Jeffries of Jacksonville, Texas and Harvey Jeffries of Flemingsburg; four daughters, Robin (Kreager) Powers of Golden, Colo., Rhonda (Alan) Crawford of Cynthiana, Ind., Rita (Brian) Butch of Jacksonville, Fla., Snobiea (Jesse) Harn of Flemingsburg; a sister, Edith Broughton of Dayton, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Nita (Ryan) Barger of Brown County, Ohio; and a step-son, Randy Graves, of Brown County, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer Adams, Roy Adams and Ray Adams; and a granddaughter.

Memorial service 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Denton-Workman Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Staggs officiating. Burial in Eubank Cemetery at 4 p.m., Tuesday.

Visitation 5-8 p.m., today at the funeral home.
