Mr. Woodard

Glen William Woodard, 78, of Fleming County (Sunnyview) passed away Monday, July 6, at his residence.

He was employed by General Tire before operating Woodard Avenue Auto Sales along with his brother, Junior, in Marion, Ind. After retiring he moved to Fleming County and became an active farmer.

Mr. Woodard was born in Bath County January 31, 1931 to the late Jeffrey Woodard and Opal Hunt Woodard Corbin.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant son, Chad Edward Woodard, and his stepfather Thomas Jumbo Corbin.

He is survived by his companion of 37 years, Edna Becker of Fleming County.

He is also survived by three daughters, Glenda (Charles) Ishmael, Jerri (Billy Joe) Hester, both of Fleming County, and Teresa Annette Woodward, Grand Prairie, Tex. Three grandchildren, Anette (DW) Brown, Don Ishmael, and Jeremy (Amanda) Hester all of Fleming County. Two brothers also survive, Cleveland (Junior) Woodward of Marion, Ind., and Donnie (Becky) Woodard of Montgomery County plus several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 am Thursday, July 9, at Denton-Workman Funeral Home, with visitation after 6 pm Wednesday. Burial will be in the Longview Cemetery, Bethel, Ky., with Bro. Billy Harmon officiating.
