Mr. Spencer

Stephen Kevin Spencer, age 24, of Smith Pike, Flemingsburg passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at his residence after a long battle with Goodpasture’s Syndrome.
He was born Oct. 1, 1985, in Rowan County, and is the son of Kevin and Marilyn Perkins Spencer of Flemingsburg.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Herman Perkins, and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Ellen Burton Spencer.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Leslie Spencer Jackson and husband, John of Maysville; maternal grandmother, Luwanna Story Perkins of Flemingsburg; and several aunts and uncles.
Stephen was a 2004 graduate of Fleming County High School and attended Morehead State University.
Services will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at the Tilton United Methodist Church with Pastor Gail Skaggs officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Perkins, Michael Bradley, Isaac Sapp, Matthew Meadows, Tim Manning and Aaron Bradley.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. today, Oct. 20, 2009, at the Tilton United Methodist Church, Old Highway 11, Flemingsburg.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
