Mr. Cooper

Ricky Allen "Coop" Cooper, 50, of Hillsboro and formerly of Sardis, died June 12, 2010, at his residence.

He was born June 22, 1959, to Taft and Louise Cooper Riickerts of Sardis.

He graduated from Mason County High School in 1977. He farmed and worked at Pepsi Cola in Lousiville, Forge and Gear and Browning's Manufacturing in Maysville for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sexton Cooper; a daughter, Jessica Harvey of Lewisburg; a son, Steve of Mount Carmel; four sisters, Sue Cooper, Dorothy Cooper, Peggy (Tony) Frame, all of Mason County and Helen (Royce) Insko of Lewis County; two brothers, Jerry (Cheryl) Cooper of South Carolina, and Jake (Janie) Cooper of Mason County; a stepson, Austin Williams, at home; grandchildren, Katelynn and Sean Harvey; a brother-in-law, Gary Sweet of Mason County; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Cooper of Robertson County, Judy (Chris) Muse of Fleming County, Connie Sexton of Hamilton, Ohio, and Bonnie (Robb) Sexton Jensen of Woodbridge, Va.; a very special adopted daughter, Hazel Bode of Fleming County; a very special adopted granddaughter, Ashlee Bode, at home; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Marietta Sweet; a brother, Jimmy Cooper; a sister-in-law, Jenny Cooper; and a nephew, Jason Cooper.

The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 8 p.m., at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.

Visitation will be after 6- 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peoples Bank of Fleming County in the name of Ricky A. Cooper.
