Mrs. Williams

Virginia Elkins Williams, 95, of Flemingsburg died Monday, June 14, 2010.

She was born June 11, 1915, in Campton to the late Vernia Hanks Elkins and Van Buren Elkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Williams.

Mrs. Williams was a homemaker; attended business school in Louisville; traveled with her husband, Nelson, while he worked for the state highway department; was active in the Flemingsburg Homemakers and garden club and had a passion for flower gardens. She was a skilled seamstress, made all her own clothing and had a sweet personality and a great smile. She will be sadly missed by many.

She is survived by her nephew, Michael Well of Illinois and her caregiver, Marsha Jones of Mason County.

She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Juanita Elkins and Jeanette Elkins.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, at the Elizaville Christian Church with Rich Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation is 1 p.m. until time for the service, Thursday at the church.
